When I was a little girl, my first and earliest memories were of my family on the beach, playing ball with my dad in cool blue water. Of course, this is no longer the case. My kids are grown, so we have to worry about safety before they leave their rooms, as well. At five-years old, there were only two things that could make me cry, specifically, when he had to get up for work and tell his wife “I’ll be home at eight o’clock tomorrow, honey, and I will be a good boy or girl,” as she did every morning before getting up to start her day at work. If I saw him do it again, I don’t know how much it would break my heart, because nothing stops you from being a human being who wants his or her needs met. It can easily be difficult to find your place amongst the chaos and turmoil that life throws our way, especially in times when people cannot see the signs themselves. But even though these things aren’t normal, my children need to learn that they should not be feared or discouraged by their peers because of those things or because of what other adults are doing. We have to show them that they deserve better than to grow up feeling like this.

Being able to go to school is an essential aspect of life for most people, but not all children have this option available to them. As we grow older, our lives become more complex and sometimes harder to understand, making us feel isolated, like no one understands us. The things we experience during childhood aren’t unlike the many emotional scars that happen in adulthood when something bad happened in our formative years. For some children, the thing that makes them feel alone and abandoned is not experiencing a loving relationship within their own households but rather living in an environment where people use threats and violence to control them. This creates an effect that results in depression, anxiety, anger, suicidal thoughts, and difficulty coping with stressors such as death. In these situations, if someone close to the child is taken away from them, they will typically become depressed, anxious, and ultimately end up hurting themselves or others. It should never be allowed to happen to anyone. Yet, unfortunately, the damage done that day is often repeated and it is rarely enough to deter children from ever reaching their full potential. That’s why, since July 2019, my husband and I started offering free summer camps with campfires and BBQs along the lakefront. And though the summer is always hard to come by, we look forward to spending time together because it means having fun.

When I began working in childcare in August 2017, I knew exactly what it would be like to live in fear of what other children were going through. It was emotionally exhausting, knowing that even though my children were safe, others weren’t. Being able to help those children be themselves meant being able to experience joy that I didn’t know was possible. It also meant feeling complete freedom in how I chose to react whenever I encountered another child. Since then, it has been the greatest gift anyone could possibly ask for, especially now that I am a parent of three daughters. I feel like I’m helping one third of humanity, providing hope and love to those children who are suffering, both physically and mentally, and giving them a sense of belonging that is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It is incredible that even after we have brought them into the world, it seems that our presence still has some of the same effects that it has had on us.

We realized fairly quickly that we wanted to create programs to serve individuals whose circumstances seemed to only get worse the longer children stay on the streets, that those kids are becoming increasingly vulnerable because they are trapped between the cruelty and poverty already experienced in their environments, that they are growing up in communities with families who are struggling to provide them with basic care, and that they are growing up on the streets without ever hearing a voice that cares about their situation and needs. All of those aspects led us to join forces to develop solutions that would improve the community’s ability to take care of its youth and provide them with a future that includes education and stability. These include providing scholarships and mentoring to students who are considering college and empowering parents to help guide their children away from drugs and gangs by supporting them with skills such as English Language Learner training and job placement assistance. Alongside our commitment to creating positive change, we also want to empower local businesses by increasing access to affordable housing options and investing in small businesses to keep the business moving. While looking toward long term changes, we recognize the importance of taking care of all of the children that are already here. So while we look ahead to the next 100 days, we remain committed to developing programs that ensure the continued success of those that need it most. Because change needs to happen, whether it’s an individual or systemic, we will continue building upon the work that we began and share that success with those that need it most. By opening pathways to opportunity, improving the quality of life of everyone who deserves it, and showing children that their dreams are achievable too, there are infinite possibilities from which to strive and which have the power to impact all of humanity.

I love to create pictures with the camera. The art of editing my images is something only I can do, and it is so much more than I have ever done before. All I have is a simple lens; a little bit here, and a little bit there, and I can make an image that no one else has ever seen.

For me, the artistry of editing is not just about making a better piece of art. It is also about getting it right — in every aspect. That is why I’m writing this article, because I want to share some of my tips for creating good art. These are just some ideas, but they may help you get a similar result without needing all those extra steps that came with learning the techniques that I use so often in my work.

First off, let me tell you what I am looking for from this post. We will start by looking for specific pieces of advice, then we’ll go through more general ones, before ending up at the basics of how to edit in general. So, first, you need to find yourself. After reading these tips on my blog, I believe that most people look for some sort of “I can do this” attitude when searching for their own creative process. If there is something that you know, or were taught, that helps you get closer to your purpose, then put it down somewhere! Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there and learn from others! Once your mindset shifts to this, you will begin to see patterns begin to emerge as you search for answers. This process takes time and self-discovery, to say the least. But once it becomes easier, you will stop having to worry about finding enough inspiration to keep creating every day.

Now that we have our criteria — we must look for them within my website. One of my top priorities is keeping myself fresh. A lot of writers (myself included) tend to struggle with writer’s block. Writing keeps us sane, keeps our minds focused, keeps our hearts pumping. When we write, we leave nothing on the paper. Instead, we try our best to find ways to keep ourselves fueled so we can continue to create. Here I come across one of my favorite resources when trying to get back onto my own story after feeling a bout of writer’s block. You can read the full review here.

At the same time, it is important that you can maintain a positive outlook when it comes to your own mind and body. Often, writers focus on how things can be fixed instead of being changed. They forget about how everything works. Things don’t become fixed with age or medication, but instead, they grow. No one will truly understand what it means to grow, except our bodies. Even though we can’t always control everything, it is possible to take an active role in changing those around us. Find something that makes you happy, something that shows that someone cares for you and appreciates your life. Then spend that money and time on creating.

Now that we have our guidelines, here comes some advice. Let me ask you about these tips. First, keep in mind that you are not working in isolation. Many writers who think about crafting their work tend to look at other people and try to copy what they do. As humans, though, it would be far easier if we copied other people than just copying what others do. Why do we do this? Because it helps us stay motivated as well as make sure that we live our dreams, have a healthy sense of self, and live like our best selves. Plus, it is important that we find what each other loves about doing the job and sharing ideas. Without that, your creativity will suffer (and it will never happen). And that’s exactly what inspired these tips. . There really is no rulebook. Some writers, especially women, still feel uncomfortable speaking about this because we know that it isn’t okay for men to talk about something openly. Still, I think that many of us should encourage women to speak openly about whatever is happening in their lives, even if it seems awkward. It lets others know that what they have been going through feels valid too. What matters most to those of us who want to lead successful, authentic lives is allowing others to experience this themselves. For example, I have two sisters in college, both studying fashion design. Sometimes, it is difficult for one sister to express herself, while her friend knows exactly what it means to express herself best. Yet, I think many women would agree that fashion design is one area where men often feel comfortable enough within the conversation about their experiences. While that is true, I firmly believe that we should all be able to express ourselves freely about anything we feel necessary here.

Here’s another thing. Stop thinking about what other people have already done. Think about what is new and exciting to you! Try to learn from others when you make changes in your craft or take a class. Take note of people who inspire you, who take risks, and who are trailblazers. Do you want that kind of person? Do you want that kind of business partner? Everyone has a different path. Start yours today! Make the effort to surround yourself with more people who inspire you, who take risks, and who are trailblazers.

Now that we have our guidelines, let’s move on to more fundamental elements (the essentials) of creating great art. Of course, you have to look at your own beliefs, but here are seven tips that help you get started too!

1. Listen and observe. Listening to what others say can help you improve your own voice — in your writing, in your craft, in the way you communicate with others. This way, you will not be limited to the words coming out of your mouth. Use this opportunity to improve your own voice. Be very careful not to listen to opinions or take things personally. Learn from other creatives you admire, but not necessarily buy from. Spend a few minutes listening to a short story you enjoy. See which stories resonate with you, and which aren’t. Pick up a book you can’t wait to finish — maybe A Thousand and One Nights, the Harry Potter series, or Treasure Island. Now try to immerse yourself in the world-weary story, and figure out why you find it interesting. Ask yourself, who was the main character? Who had a strong personality? Was he or she brave? Have you ever felt a connection with him or her? In this way, as you find out, you might pick up a key idea that makes you feel special, which will lead later on in the planning process.

2. Create something that inspires you. When brainstorming, you have to get outside your head and check out what inspires you. Does your mom tell you that you have a talent for painting? Is your aunt throwing a party next weekend and telling everyone that you want flowers? What do you want your jewelry to signify? Are you grateful? Do you want to live a better life? Go out and create something that inspires you! When you begin, write yourself down. Write what motivates you to get organized, to create artwork in particular, or to write something for someone you care. Now, make sure that when you are brainstorming, you are giving yourself permission to experiment. Take advantage of that fact by letting yourself create with ease and creativity. You may find that it doesn’t take long until the end result is very obvious. Maybe this is an easy project. Maybe you will feel totally lost. Don’t worry. Your art is meant to represent a message that resonates deeply. The goal is to show that you care about something that could possibly affect others. This goes hand-in-hand with the previous tip. When creating anything, think that you are being given a chance to turn this into a message that is meaningful to you. You can only focus on creating something that resonates with you and encourages you to change your life to better yourself.

3. Figure out your goals. Before setting out on a journey to create art, you need to decide about who you are and what you love to do. Did you love school? Were you an extrovert? Introverted person? Shy? Creative, or did you learn those lessons over a significant amount of time? These are all questions you need to answer before committing to making art. Knowing what your goals are can give you an insight into what kind of art you want to create. How is your aesthetic? Do you love colors? Texture? Subject matter? Language? History making? Art history? Perhaps, you want to create art that celebrates culture or themes that aren’t currently popular. Are you interested in celebrating small history or classic American cuisine or exploring contemporary artists? The possibilities are endless! Find your goals and then figure out what inspires you to make art. Next, try to figure out how to get started. Look for some books or courses for beginners artists. Meet up with someone who can help you find supplies and materials that match what you are looking for. Then try to figure out how to go about creating what you love about the craft you are focusing on. Can you sell your pieces online? Where does your material go? Can you use a service such as Etsy? What kind of artworks on Instagram do you like? Want to create something that uses digital forms to communicate a feeling? Maybe you are inspired by nature? Maybe you love cooking? Maybe you love art? Whatever your inspiration is, try to bring the style of a fellow artist into your art making process. This will allow you to create something that you love and then send it on to others. Check out any online classes, courses,
